The more they talk and describe their concept of beauty in a man, more I though "So a very feminine man". I noticed many young men in Japan so thin, no facial hair, eyebrows trimmed... It was kind of difficult to recognize when a couple walked in front of me which one was the girl and which one was the boy.

Just a misunderstanding/misreading, as @Sudsy said. It is not that they do something a thousand times in a month and get paid ichi ma’en each time. It is that they have a stack of 1000 ichi ma’en bills at the end of the month. I would guess that a lot of their income comes in the form of big monetary gifts from their best customers/fans on top of what they earn via their club’s system.
